**Hyderabad, March 25, 2025** – Twelve individuals have been arrested in Nalgonda district, Telangana, for their involvement in a question paper leak during the ongoing Class 10 examinations. The arrests, announced late Thursday, include students, a private teacher, and a photostat shop owner.

The incident unfolded on March 21st in Nakrekal town. According to Nalgonda Deputy Superintendent of Police K. Sivaram Reddy, a question paper photograph was taken from inside a school examination room and circulated via WhatsApp. The subsequent investigation led to the arrests.

Those apprehended include Chitla Akash (driver), his brother Chitla Shiva (DJ operator), Bandi Srinu, Guduguntla Shankar (private teacher), Brahmadevara Ravishankar (photostat shop owner), and several students. Police are still searching for one more suspect, identified only as Rahul.

The group allegedly planned to provide answers to students to boost their scores. An attempt to sneak into the examination hall was thwarted by police, leading the conspirators to obtain the paper through a clandestine route involving scaling the school wall. Answers were then prepared and were to be photocopied, but the plan was abandoned when police intervened.

Police stated the investigation is ongoing and further action will be taken against those involved. All those arrested have been remanded to judicial custody.
