
Tue Mar 25 13:28:42 UTC 2025: **Bihar 12th Board Exam Results: 86.05% Pass Rate, Girls Outperform Boys**
PATNA, Bihar – The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced the results of the 2025 Intermediate (12th grade) examinations today, March 25th, revealing an overall pass rate of 86.05% across Arts, Science, and Commerce streams. A total of 12.92 lakh candidates appeared for the exams, held from February 1st to 15th at 1,677 centers.
Girls outperformed boys in all three streams. The Science stream recorded the highest pass percentage at 89.66%, followed by Commerce at 94.77%, and Arts at 82.75%. This year’s pass percentage is slightly lower than last year’s 87.21%.
Priya Jaiswal topped the Science stream with 484 marks (96.80%), while Ankita Kumari and Shakib Shah jointly secured first place in Arts with 473 marks (94.60%). Roshni Kumari topped the Commerce stream with 475 marks (95%).
A total of 6,37,797 girl students appeared, with 5,59,097 passing (87.67%), while 5,48,233 of the 6,42,414 boys who appeared passed (85.34%). 5,08,540 students passed in the first division, 5,07,002 in the second, and 91,788 in the third.
BSEB has doubled the prize money for the top five rank holders in each stream, and increased scholarship amounts for the top five students in each stream to ₹2,500 per month for three years (or four for technical courses).
Students dissatisfied with their results can apply for scrutiny online from April 1st to 8th.
