**Chennai, March 25, 2025** – Tamil Nadu will implement a mandatory online system for all building plan approvals starting April 1st, 2025. All applications must be submitted through the Tamil Nadu Single Window Portal for Planning Permission (onlineppa.tn.gov.in). The existing online system is being integrated into this new portal. Applications submitted before April 1st will be processed under the current system, while those submitted on or after April 1st will utilize the new portal.
