Tue Mar 25 14:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Fortnite’s OG Season 3 Launches with Nostalgic Skins and 50v50 Mayhem
**London, UK** – Fortnite fans can rejoice! Epic Games has ended the downtime for update 34.20, unleashing Fortnite OG Season 3. The update, released on March 25th across all platforms (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Android), brings a wave of nostalgic content and gameplay changes.
The highlight is the return of classic skins, reimagined for the new season, as part of the Power Punk, Mecha R3X, and Sir Raven Battle Pass. A new gameplay trailer showcases these skins alongside returning fan-favorite locations like Lucky Landing and the menacing return of the meteor.
Gameplay is spiced up with the return of the popular 50v50 limited-time mode, running until April 14th, pitting two teams of 50 players against each other in a large-scale battle. Classic weapons are also making a comeback, starting with the Guided Missile, Hand Cannon, and Hunting Rifle, throughout the season.
The update also includes bug fixes, such as addressing campfire durability and text chat UI issues on mobile devices. While rumours circulate about potential crossovers with Mortal Kombat and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Epic Games has yet to officially confirm these additions.
The update initially caused server downtime, beginning at 8am GMT, preventing players from accessing the game until servers were back online. Epic Games warned players of this downtime via a tweet teasing the new season with the phrase, “Brace for Impact!”.
The Daily Express will continue to update this article with further details as they emerge.
