**Seattle, WA** – The Seattle Seahawks announced Monday the signing of veteran tight end Eric Saubert, marking the 30-year-old’s 11th NFL team. Saubert, a 6’5″, 248-pound tight end, most recently played for the San Francisco 49ers in 2024.
Saubert’s career, now entering its ninth season, has seen him play for a multitude of teams. His most productive stretch came during his two-year stint with the Denver Broncos (2021-2022), where he recorded 23 receptions for 195 yards and two touchdowns in 34 games (10 starts). He added 11 catches for 97 yards and a touchdown in 17 games with the 49ers last season. Overall, Saubert boasts career totals of 47 receptions, 389 receiving yards, and three touchdowns.
The Seahawks are hoping Saubert’s experience can bolster their tight end corps. The move comes after a busy offseason for the Broncos at the tight end position, leaving Saubert seeking a new opportunity. The addition of Saubert is one of several moves the Seahawks have made as they look to bolster their roster for the upcoming season.
