**Chicago, IL** – The Chicago Bears have strengthened their defensive backfield, signing cornerback Nick McCloud to a one-year contract, the team announced today. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
McCloud, who spent the 2022 season split between the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers, brings a wealth of experience to the Bears’ defense. In seven games with the Giants and eight with the 49ers last year, he recorded 25 tackles and a pass deflection. Over his two seasons with the Giants (2022-2023), McCloud appeared in 31 games, starting 11, and tallied 71 tackles, an interception, three forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries.
