**Coimbatore, March 25, 2025** – A 36-year-old devotee, Siva, from Tiruvannamalai district, died while returning from a pilgrimage to the Vellingiri Hills early Tuesday morning. Siva, who had visited the Suyambulingam Temple atop the Seventh Hill with family and friends, suffered breathlessness and collapsed while descending the hills. Despite efforts to transport him to Poondi village on a makeshift stretcher, he succumbed before reaching an ambulance. Alandurai police have registered a case and released the body to his family following a post-mortem.
