**Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu – March 25, 2025** – A 55-year-old woman farmhand was attacked by a wild boar in Koomapatti near Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu, on Monday. K. Pooranam, along with two colleagues, was weeding a farm near Kalyana Odai when the boar emerged from bushes and attacked her. She sustained bleeding injuries to her face, back, and hand. Pooranam received first aid at the Watrap Government Hospital before being transferred to the Virudhunagar Government Medical College Hospital for further treatment.
