**Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh:** The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which manages the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala, has reported a significant surge in VIP darshan requests following the commencement of accepting recommendation letters from Telangana politicians on March 24th.
On the first day alone, approximately 90 letters were received, resulting in VIP break darshan allocation for 550-600 devotees. The TTD has announced that VIP break darshans will be granted to a maximum of six individuals per letter on Mondays and Tuesdays. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, Rs. 300 darshan tickets will be issued based on these letters.
TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu stated that the initiative is in line with the Andhra Pradesh government’s directives to ensure smooth darshan for all devotees. He confirmed that letters from Telangana politicians are being accepted and thanked both the Telangana devotees and AP government officials for their cooperation. The influx of recommendation letters has been met with gratitude by Telangana devotees. The TTD’s announcement comes amidst existing procedures for managing the large number of devotees visiting the temple.
