**Salem, March 24, 2025** – A 16-year-old boy was injured during an unauthorized bull-chasing event (Eruthattam) in Salem district on Sunday. P. Guru, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, sustained stomach injuries after being hit by a bull. The event, organized by local youths without the necessary permissions, took place in an open space behind Thumbal Government Hospital. Guru was initially treated at Thumbal Government Hospital before being transferred to Salem Government Hospital for further care. Yethapur police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
