**BISHKEK/BAKU** – While the world grapples with major conflicts in Ukraine and Israel, a wave of positive developments is unfolding in Central Asia and the Caucasus, offering a beacon of hope for regional stability. Two pairs of nations, previously locked in protracted border disputes and wars, have made significant strides towards lasting peace.

Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, sharing a long and contested border, have finally signed a comprehensive agreement after 31 years of intermittent conflict. The March 13th accord resolves territorial disputes and addresses critical issues such as water rights, energy infrastructure, and transportation.
