Mon Mar 24 16:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Miley Cyrus Announces New Visual Album “Something Beautiful” Amidst Copyright Lawsuit

**Los Angeles, CA** – Pop superstar Miley Cyrus is set to release her ninth studio album, a visual album titled “Something Beautiful,” on May 30th. The 13-track record, executive produced by Cyrus and Shawn Everett (known for his work with Kacey Musgraves and Alabama Shakes), features original music and will be available for pre-order in various formats, including signed and limited-edition vinyl and CD packages, as well as two collectible box sets. The album cover, shot by Glen Luchford, showcases Cyrus in a striking archival 1997 Thierry Mugler couture outfit.

The announcement follows a week of cryptic teasers on Cyrus’ social media and the appearance of promotional posters and billboards in Brazil, the Netherlands, and Argentina. The new album comes on the heels of Cyrus’ massively successful 2023 release, “Endless Summer Vacation,” and its lead single, “Flowers.” “Flowers” spent eight weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, broke streaming records, and won two Grammy Awards.

However, the release of “Something Beautiful” comes amidst a significant legal challenge. Cyrus is currently facing a copyright infringement lawsuit from Tempo Music Investments, which alleges that “Flowers” copies elements of Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man.” Last week, a judge rejected Cyrus’ motion to dismiss the case, paving the way for a trial. Despite this ongoing legal battle, Cyrus is moving forward with the release of her highly anticipated new visual album.
