ST. LOUIS – The 2025 NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament bracket was revealed on Sunday, with Hockey East Conference leading the way. Boston College secured the #1 overall seed, marking their 38th NCAA Tournament appearance. Joining them in the top four seeds are Michigan State (#2), Maine (#3), and Western Michigan (#4).
This year’s tournament features historic first-time appearances by Bentley and UConn. Bentley will face Boston College in the Manchester Region, while UConn will play in-state rival Quinnipiac in the Allentown Region. Defending champion Denver received a #3 seed in the Manchester Region.
Hockey East dominated the selection, earning six bids – the most of any conference and their highest total since 2016. The conference boasts two #1 seeds (Boston College and Maine) along with Boston University, UConn, Providence, and UMass. Former Boston University player Colby Cohen predicted a Boston College victory at the Frozen Four in St. Louis, April 10-12. The tournament’s first round begins March 27-28.
