**SOUTH CAROLINA** – The prestigious Junior Invitational at Sage Valley concluded Saturday, with notable participants Charlie Woods and Kai Trump finishing their respective tournaments. Woods, son of golfing legend Tiger Woods, tied for 25th place out of 36 golfers with a final score of 11-over-par. He started strong, but struggled on the back nine in his final round, shooting a 3-over 75. Trump, granddaughter of former President Donald Trump, finished last among the 24 female competitors, with a final score of 52-over-par. This follows a challenging week for Trump, who has committed to play collegiate golf at the University of Miami.
Both Woods and Trump are students at Benjamin School in Florida, and have previously achieved success in the state’s junior golf circuit. Woods contributed to Benjamin’s state championship win in 2023, while Trump earned All-County honors last fall.
The Junior Invitational at Sage Valley, now in its 13th year, is considered one of the most prestigious events in junior golf, attracting top young talent from around the world. The tournament has a history of showcasing future professional stars, with past winners including Scottie Scheffler, Akshay Bhatia, and Joaquín Niemann.
