**Karaikal, Tamil Nadu – March 24, 2025** – The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is launching a nationwide cycling initiative to raise awareness about coastal security and foster community engagement. Deputy Inspector-General G. Siva Kumar announced the “CISF Coastal Cyclothon” during a visit to Karaikal Port on Friday.
The ambitious cyclothon will see participants cycle the entire Indian coastline, from Kolkata to Kanniyakumari. The event aims to not only educate the public about coastal security threats but also promote physical fitness and build stronger relationships between CISF personnel and coastal communities.
Karaikal Port has shown its support for the initiative by donating 150 T-shirts and caps to the participants. The event is scheduled to begin next week.
