KARIMNAGAR, Telangana – Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, on Sunday accused the ruling Telangana Congress party of attempting to infiltrate the state’s education system with “urban Naxal” ideologies and fostering a “gun culture.” Kumar claimed the Congress appointed individuals affiliated with urban Naxal groups to an education sector advisory panel. He contrasted this with the central government’s efforts to provide students with resources and nurture their potential.
Kumar further criticized the Congress government for allegedly withholding five installments of Dearness Allowance (DA) for government employees and teachers, resulting in unpaid dues totaling ₹8,000 crore. He also cited unpaid retirement benefits amounting to ₹11,000 crore. Additionally, he alleged the involvement of a Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader in a past counterfeit currency operation in Bidar, Karnataka, claiming that the Telangana police were pressured to not shut down the implicated printing press. Kumar made these statements during a felicitation event for newly elected MLCs in Karimnagar.
