Mon Mar 24 02:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Vega Moves On: Former Chivas Star Focuses on Toluca Success

**MEXICO CITY** – Former Chivas de Guadalajara star Alexis Vega has declared he’s moved on from his time with the club, despite a controversial departure in 2024. While harboring no ill will towards the Rebaño Sagrado, Vega stated he prefers not to dwell on his four-year tenure with the Guadalajara team.

During his time with Chivas, Vega appeared in 147 matches, scoring 28 goals and adding 28 assists. In an interview with Fox Sports, he expressed only positive wishes for his former club, saying, “I don’t like speaking ill of Chivas because it’s a club that gave me the best during my time in Guadalajara. I believe my time there was significant. I didn’t leave the way I would have liked, but I wish them much success.”

Currently playing for Toluca, Vega is enjoying a resurgence in form. Since his arrival last year, he’s contributed 29 goals (goals and assists combined). He expressed his satisfaction with his current performance, adding, “I’m very happy with how I’m playing, how I’m fitting in with my teammates. I think I’m going through a good moment, but I also feel I have a lot of room to improve.”
