**Lucknow, March 22** – After the impact of a western disturbance subsides, Uttar Pradesh is expected to experience a change in weather starting Sunday, March 24. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts clear and dry conditions from March 24th to 27th, with no warnings of rain or thunderstorms. Temperatures will remain stable for the next three days, before potentially rising by 2-3 degrees Celsius.
While western UP will enjoy clear skies today, eastern districts are under a thunderstorm warning, with potential for rain, lightning, and strong winds (30-40 kmph). Specific districts under this alert include Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Kushinagar, Kanpur Nagar, Raebareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ambedkarnagar, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, and Lalitpur.
From March 24th, maximum temperatures are expected to reach 38-40°C, increasing the likelihood of a heatwave.
