This initiative aims to bolster basic infrastructure in rural areas across the state during the 2025-26 fiscal year.

The Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department will oversee the implementation of AGAMT-II, which builds upon a program launched in 2006. The initiative focuses on improving infrastructure in all 12,482 village panchayats across the state in a phased manner. This year’s allocation will benefit 2,329 panchayats.

Planned improvements include pond rejuvenation, street and lane upgrades, streetlight installations, and enhancements to livelihood and marketing facilities.
