**Vellore, March 23, 2025** – Students of a private arts and science college in Vellore are protesting the delayed arrest of their vice-principal, S. Anbazhagan, who has been accused of sexual abuse. A 37-year-old guest lecturer filed a complaint against Anbazhagan at the Vellore South All Women Police Station (AWPS), leading to the registration of a case against him. Anbazhagan has since gone into hiding.
The protesting students surrounded police officers at the AWPS, demanding immediate action. Police have assured the students that Anbazhagan will be arrested shortly. The investigation is ongoing.
