His departure follows the completion of production on season two, which wrapped last month.
While Owens will no longer serve as showrunner, his influence on the show remains significant. He helped shape the creative vision and long-term blueprint for future seasons. He also co-wrote at least one episode for season two, and his contributions will continue to be felt. Joe Tracz, who became co-showrunner in April 2024, will oversee post-production for season two and remains attached to the series.
