**Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, March 23, 2025** – The post-mortem report of former merchant navy officer Saurabh Rajput has revealed shocking details of his brutal murder, allegedly at the hands of his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla. Rajput’s body was dismembered and concealed in a drum filled with cement.
The autopsy revealed that Rajput was stabbed multiple times in the heart with extreme force, his head severed, and both hands cut off. His legs were also bent, suggesting an attempt to fit the body into the drum. The cause of death was determined to be shock and excessive bleeding. Police confirmed that Rajput was drugged before the attack.
Following the murder on March 4th, Rastogi and Shukla went on a vacation to Himachal Pradesh, misleading Rajput’s family with messages sent from his phone. The crime was reported to police on March 18th, leading to their arrests.
The medical team described the gruesome efforts to conceal the body, noting that the cement prevented decomposition and reduced the smell. The drum had to be cut open to retrieve the remains.
Rajput and Rastogi married in 2016 against his family’s wishes. Rastogi and Shukla, who had known each other since school, reconnected in 2019. Rajput’s family had expressed concerns about Rastogi’s behavior and alleged drug use.
The incident has sparked outrage, and lawyers reacted violently towards Shukla during a court appearance on March 19th, prompting police intervention. The investigation continues.
