**PATNA, Bihar – March 23, 2025** – Bihar kicked off its five-day Bihar Diwas celebrations on Saturday, March 22nd, in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alongside Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, inaugurated the event, themed “Unnat Bihar, Viksit Bihar” (Advanced Bihar, Developed Bihar).
The celebration featured numerous departmental stalls showcasing ongoing government schemes and Bihar’s rich cultural heritage. 3D replicas of iconic landmarks like the Mahabodhi Temple and Nalanda University were on display. A highlight was the Department of Labour Resources’ high-tech stall, demonstrating a Centre of Excellence (CoE) developed with Tata Tech, showcasing robotics, IoT, electric vehicles, and AR/VR technology aimed at boosting youth employment.
The Transport Department organized a free vehicle check-up and awareness program, featuring exhibits of various vehicles, simulators, and AI-powered road safety demonstrations. They also offered free eye checks and discounted bus passes for students. A painting and slogan writing competition focused on road safety concluded the day’s events. The Chief Minister received a welcoming book from the Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department. The event drew a large crowd to Gandhi Maidan.
