Sun Mar 23 04:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Sharks Snap Losing Streak Against Bruins with Carlsson’s Game-Winning Goal

**SAN JOSE, CA** – The San Jose Sharks ended their 14-game losing streak against the Boston Bruins with a thrilling 3-1 victory Saturday night at a sold-out SAP Center. Defenseman Lucas Carlsson, playing his first NHL game since November 1, 2022, scored the game-winning goal with just over three minutes remaining in regulation.

Carlsson, recently recalled from the AHL’s San Jose Barracuda, capitalized on a pass from Will Smith, chipping the puck past Bruins goalie Joonas Korpisalo for his first goal as a Shark. The goal capped a remarkable comeback for Carlsson, who suffered a torn ACL in February and underwent extensive rehabilitation. He also assisted on an empty-net goal by Barclay Goodrow late in the third period.

William Eklund scored the Sharks’ first goal, reaching his career-high 16th goal of the season. The Bruins tied the game in the second period following a Sharks turnover. Sharks goalie Alexandar Georgiev recorded 22 saves in the victory.

Saturday’s game marked a milestone for Sharks defenseman Mario Ferraro, who played in his 400th NHL game.

Carlsson’s performance was particularly noteworthy given his injury history. “It’s one of the worst injuries you can have,” Carlsson said post-game, reflecting on his recovery. “The summer was tough, but I’m just happy to be back.” His return and game-winning goal provided a significant boost to the Sharks, who now look to build on this hard-fought victory.
