Sat Mar 22 06:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Telangana Launches Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme, Offering Self-Employment Loans to Five Lakh Youth
**Hyderabad, Telangana –** Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched the ambitious “Rajiv Yuva Vikasam” scheme yesterday at the Assembly premises. This initiative aims to provide self-employment opportunities to 500,000 unemployed youth from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, and minority communities across the state.
The scheme, backed by a ₹6000 crore allocation, offers financial assistance of up to ₹3 lakh for establishing self-employment ventures. Loans will receive substantial government subsidies: 80% for loans up to ₹1 lakh, 70% for loans up to ₹2 lakh, and 60% for loans up to ₹3 lakh.
Application scrutiny begins next month, with successful applicants receiving loan sanction documents on June 2nd, Telangana Formation Day. The scheme is a key component of the state government’s commitment to youth empowerment and economic development.
