**Shanghai, China** – Oscar Piastri secured a sensational maiden Formula 1 pole position for the Chinese Grand Prix, edging out Mercedes’ George Russell by a mere tenth of a second in a dramatic qualifying session. The McLaren driver delivered a blistering 1m 30.641s lap in Q3, overcoming earlier struggles to claim the top spot.
