**Mangaluru, March 22, 2025** – The Karnataka state government remains committed to fully utilizing funds allocated for its guarantee schemes, including those benefiting fishermen, according to Dakshina Kannada Pradesh Congress Committee president K. Harish Kumar. Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Mr. Kumar acknowledged some implementation delays in the disbursement of funds for welfare programs such as the Gruha Lakshmi scheme, which provides ₹2,000 per month to women heads of families. He confirmed that payments have been released for the first three months of the scheme. Further, Mr. Kumar assured that the government will soon release the promised ₹3,000 monthly livelihood assistance to fishermen during the fishing ban period. He also reiterated the government’s dedication to launching a sea ambulance service along Karnataka’s coast.
