**ERODE, Tamil Nadu, March 22, 2025** – Erode police intercepted a bus on the Salem-Coimbatore National Highway near Chithode on Saturday, seizing 500 grams of gold and $18,300 (approximately ₹15.73 lakh) from a passenger. The operation stemmed from a tip-off regarding a suspect involved in a Hyderabad robbery. The passenger, identified as Pugalavasan from Coimbatore, was taken into custody. The Hyderabad police have been informed, and investigations are ongoing.
