**Chennai, [Date]:** The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rain with thunderstorms for several parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry today. A low-level cyclonic circulation is prevailing over the Comorin area and extending to south Tamil Nadu. The convergence of easterlies and westerlies at lower levels over south peninsular India is contributing to this weather pattern.
While most areas can expect light to moderate rainfall, heavy rain is likely in a few places across Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Theni, Dindigul, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tenkasi, and Kanyakumari districts. The IMD has also issued a specific warning of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Nellai, Theni, and Tenkasi districts until 10 AM today.
