**Bengaluru, March 22, 2025** – A salesman from Hisar district, Haryana, was arrested by the Halasuru Gate police in Bengaluru for allegedly defrauding a hardware company. The salesman, along with three others, is accused of pocketing ₹96 lakh from the sale of welding rods to customers in Bengaluru, Mandya, and Channaptna districts.
The hardware company, located on S.P. Road, filed a complaint in November 2024 after the four salesmen, who had left the company, allegedly supplied the rods but kept the proceeds. Police investigations led to the arrest of one salesman, who confessed to the crime. Authorities recovered ₹11.24 lakh from him. Two other individuals named in the complaint were cleared of involvement. The police are currently pursuing the remaining accused.
