Fri Mar 21 14:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Hyderabad to See Relief from Scorching Heat as Rains Arrive

**Hyderabad, March 22 (The New Indian Express)** – Much-needed relief is on the way for Hyderabad and Telangana as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts light to moderate rain and thundershowers until March 23. The rainfall is expected to significantly lower the soaring temperatures currently gripping the state.

The IMD attributes the upcoming weather change to a trough extending from southwest Madhya Pradesh to north Odisha. An orange warning has been issued for the next two days for several districts, including Nirmal, Nizamabad, and Warangal, forecasting thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph). A yellow warning is in place for other districts, including Hyderabad, for thunderstorms and lightning.

Adilabad recorded the highest temperature in Telangana on Thursday at 40.6°C, while Hyderabad reached 38.6°C. Over the next five days, temperatures are expected to range between 36°C and 40°C across the state. Hyderabad’s forecast for the next 48 hours includes a partly cloudy sky, morning haze, a maximum temperature around 36°C, and a minimum of 21°C.
