Fri Mar 21 06:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Pakistan Stages Comeback Against New Zealand in Thrilling T20 Match

**Lahore, Pakistan –** Pakistan mounted a stunning comeback against New Zealand in the third T20 international on Friday, March 21st. After a blistering 94 from Mark Chapman propelled New Zealand to 135/5 in 12.5 overs, a strong finish seemed inevitable. However, Pakistan’s bowlers fought back fiercely, restricting New Zealand to just 54 runs in the final six overs for a final total of 204 in 19.5 overs.

Haris Rauf led Pakistan’s bowling attack with 3 wickets. However, the match saw a dramatic twist involving Abrar Ahmed, who was denied a potential hat-trick. After taking two wickets in consecutive balls in the 15th over, dismissing Mitchell (8 runs off 8 balls) and Kyle Jamieson, captain Salman Agha surprisingly did not bowl him again, leaving the hat-trick attempt for a future match. Abrar finished with 2 wickets for 43 runs in 3 overs.

Despite losing nine wickets by the 19th over, New Zealand managed to reach 204 runs. The final over was bowled by Abbas Afridi, instead of Abrar, leaving spectators on edge. The Pakistan players observed a brief midday prayer break during the match. The fourth T20 match between Pakistan and New Zealand is scheduled for March 23rd.
