Fri Mar 21 10:19:20 UTC 2025: ## Andhra Pradesh District Plans Industrial Boom to Boost Economy
**Parvatipuram, Andhra Pradesh – March 21, 2025** – The Parvatipuram-Manyam district in Andhra Pradesh is poised for significant economic growth with plans to establish at least one industrial park in each of its four Assembly constituencies. District Collector A. Shyam Prasad announced the initiative Friday, stating that a detailed action plan has been submitted to the state government for approval.
The initiative aims to create jobs and improve the livelihoods of local residents, particularly those in tribal communities. The proposed parks in Parvatipuram, Saluru, Kurupam, and Palakonda are expected to offer opportunities for tribal people to supply goods and services to the industries.
Several entrepreneurs have already expressed interest in establishing agro-based industries in the district, submitting proposals currently under review by higher authorities and the industrial promotion board. The government plans to offer incentives including reduced power tariffs, waived registration fees, and improved infrastructure such as roads and electricity. Further benefits, including subsidies and interest waivers, are available to entrepreneurs from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Non-SC/ST entrepreneurs can also participate in areas outside the Scheduled Agency areas.
Collector Shyam Prasad expressed optimism that this rapid industrialization will contribute to achieving the district’s Vision 2047 goals and significantly boost its GDP. The Parvatipuram-Manyam district, formed three years ago, is betting on this industrial push to fuel its economic development.
