**COIMBATORE, March 21, 2025** – A free one-month multimedia course offered by the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) has been met with an unexpectedly high level of interest. Over 800 people have registered, with over 1,500 inquiries received, forcing organizers to divide participants into batches of 60.

The course, held at the City Knowledge and Study Centre, aims to equip participants with skills in multimedia, marketing, and content creation. The induction sessions, held on Thursday, saw 500 attendees, demonstrating the significant demand for this free training opportunity.

Attendees range widely in age and background. One participant, 54-year-old G. Maheswari, a business owner, hopes to use the skills to promote her design and stitching center. Another participant, a 30-year-old salon owner, aims to leverage digital marketing to expand her business. The oldest applicant was a 62-year-old woman.

Course coordinators expressed their surprise and delight at the overwhelming response, highlighting the program’s success in attracting a diverse range of participants aged 18 and above. Classes are held daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in multiple batches.
