**Kozhikode, Kerala – March 20, 2025** – Four Plus Two students from MIM Higher Secondary School in Perode, Kozhikode district, have been implicated in a suspected ragging incident that left a junior student with serious head injuries. The Nadapuram police have registered a case based on the victim’s statement and a complaint filed by his parents.
The victim, a student at the school, was reportedly targeted last Tuesday while attending an examination. The alleged assault stemmed from the senior students’ objections to his attire – specifically, his unbuttoned shirt and unshaven beard. Sources indicate that a verbal altercation escalated into a physical assault, with the seniors allegedly restraining the junior student and striking his head against a wall.
The injured student is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Vadakara. Police are awaiting a report from the school principal before formally registering a case under the relevant sections of the Kerala Prohibition of Ragging Act. The investigation is ongoing.
