Thu Mar 20 00:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Nuggets Beat Warriors Despite Star Players’ Absence

**SAN FRANCISCO, CA –** The Denver Nuggets secured a 114-105 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Monday, but it came at a cost. Star players Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, both listed as questionable due to injuries, sat out the game to allow their nagging ailments to heal. Jokic was dealing with a right elbow contusion and left ankle impingement, while Murray suffered from a right ankle sprain. Starting wing Christian Braun also missed the game due to left foot inflammation.

Despite the absences, Aaron Gordon led the Nuggets with a spectacular 38-point performance. Russell Westbrook stepped up, contributing a triple-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 16 assists.

Coach Michael Malone had previously attempted to convince Jokic to rest during a back-to-back series earlier this month, but the MVP candidate refused, instead delivering a dominant performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Jokic’s heavy workload has seen him average 39.8 minutes per game in March. The Nuggets will be hoping that the rest will allow Jokic and Murray to return to full fitness soon.
