SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The San Francisco Giants have announced that their highly acclaimed broadcasting team of Dave Flemming, Mike Krukow, Duane Kuiper, and Jon Miller have all signed multi-year contract extensions. The news, confirmed by Giants president and CEO Larry Baer and Krukow himself, ensures the continuation of one of Major League Baseball’s most popular and consistently top-ranked announcing crews.
The quartet, who have been the Giants’ primary voices for over two decades, have garnered widespread praise for their work. Kuiper and Krukow, paired since 1986 (with a brief exception in 1993), primarily handle television duties, while Miller (recipient of the 2010 Ford C. Frick Award) and Flemming lead the radio broadcasts.
A notable change in Krukow’s contract addresses his inclusion body myositis, which limits his travel. He will now broadcast all 81 home games, plus 23 away games, from the NBC Sports Bay Area studio, allowing Duane Kuiper to call the road games from the stadium.
The Giants’ broadcast team has consistently ranked among the best in the league, according to fan polls conducted by Awful Announcing, never placing lower than second since 2014. Their popularity is a testament to their long tenure with the team and their connection with Giants fans. The extensions were widely anticipated given their prominence and fan-favorite status. Baer emphasized the team’s integral role within the Giants organization, stating that their return was a given.
