**LOS ANGELES** – Chase Stokes, star of Netflix’s hit series *Outer Banks*, is set to make his feature film directorial debut with the coming-of-age romantic thriller, *I Told the Sunset About You*. The film, an original concept by Stokes himself, will be produced by Monarch Media.

The project is described as a contemporary Bonnie and Clyde story following a restless waitress who encounters a drifter, sparking a spontaneous cross-country journey filled with unexpected risks and life-altering consequences.

“I’m very excited that the Monarch team has given me this opportunity,” Stokes stated. “It’s always been a goal to direct, and I’m thrilled to continue this partnership with them.”

Monarch Media, which previously collaborated with Stokes on the military thriller *Valiant One*, expressed their confidence in the actor’s vision. “It was clear from the start that Chase is a passionate storyteller,” said producers Steve Barnett, Alan Powell, and Vicky Patel in a joint statement.

Stokes’ burgeoning career also includes roles in *Marked Men*, *Uglies*, and the upcoming final season of *Outer Banks*.
