**Nashville, TN** – The Grand Ole Opry’s 100th anniversary will be celebrated tonight with a three-hour NBC special, “Opry 100: A Live Celebration,” airing from 8-11 p.m. ET/PT. The show, produced by Silent House (known for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour), boasts over 20 performances featuring a who’s who of country music royalty and beyond.
The broadcast will feature a mix of tributes and original performances. Reba McEntire will honor Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, while Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood will pay homage to George Jones and Tammy Wynette. Other tributes include Jelly Roll and Ashley McBryde honoring Johnny and June Cash, Carly Pearce celebrating Dolly Parton, Keith Urban saluting Crystal Gayle, Carrie Underwood remembering Randy Travis, and Kelsea Ballerini honoring Barbara Mandrell. The legends being tributed will also make appearances.
The special will also highlight various eras of country music, with segments dedicated to bluegrass (featuring Alison Krauss + Union Station), gospel (led by The War and Treaty alongside Amy Grant), and a ’90s jam session with Blake Shelton, Clint Black, and Trace Adkins. Post Malone will also deliver a surprise performance. Eric Church will perform an original song, described as personal and emotionally resonant to his relationship with the Opry.
Several artists will perform multiple songs, including Keith Urban, who will both pay tribute to Crystal Gayle and showcase one of his own hits. Lainey Wilson and Marty Stuart will perform Hank Williams Sr.’s “Lost Highway” and one of Wilson’s own songs. Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss will reunite for their hit “Whiskey Lullaby,” introduced by Opry veteran Bill Anderson, who co-wrote the song. Vince Gill will perform “Go Rest High on That Mountain.”
