**Bengaluru, March 20, 2025** – The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) and the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) have joined forces to improve mental health research and training. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on March 18th by Surgeon Vice-Admiral Arti Sarin (Director General, AFMS) and Dr. Prathima Murthy (Director, NIMHANS).

This collaboration will involve joint academic programs, faculty exchanges, and collaborative research projects. The aim is to tackle critical healthcare challenges and drive innovation in patient care and scientific advancements in the field of mental health and neurosciences.
