Wed Mar 19 22:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Hawks Sweep Hornets in Dominant 134-102 Victory

**CHARLOTTE, NC** – The Atlanta Hawks cruised to a convincing 134-102 victory over the injury-depleted Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday night, completing a season sweep of their rivals. Trae Young led the Hawks with 31 points, while Dyson Daniels contributed a well-rounded performance of 22 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Zaccharie Risacher exploded for 21 points, including four three-pointers in a dominant third quarter, which saw Atlanta extend their lead to as much as 35 points.

The Hawks’ hot shooting, particularly from beyond the arc (22 of 45), propelled them to a commanding 70-57 halftime lead. Risacher’s three consecutive three-pointers in the third quarter proved to be a turning point, quickly widening the gap between the two teams. Onyeka Okongwu also provided a strong start for Atlanta, contributing 15 points and 10 rebounds.

The Hornets, already missing key players LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges, suffered a further blow when backup center Moussa Diabate exited the game late with a lower-body injury. DaQuan Jeffries and Seth Curry led the Hornets’ scoring effort with 19 points each, but their efforts were insufficient to overcome Atlanta’s superior performance.

The win snaps a two-game losing streak for the Hawks, who remain in contention for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. They face the Golden State Warriors on Saturday. The Hornets, meanwhile, host the New York Knicks on Thursday.
