CHICAGO – The Chicago Bulls secured a 111-97 road win against the Utah Jazz Monday night, fueled by the stellar performance of their starting backcourt duo: Tre Jones and Coby White. The victory marks the sixth consecutive game in which the Bulls have started this backcourt pairing, a unique situation given that Jones (Duke) and White (North Carolina) were rivals in college basketball.

Jones and White, both 25, combined for an impressive 44 points, seven rebounds, 16 assists, and three steals, while committing only three turnovers. Jones recorded his first double-double with the Bulls, scoring 18 points and dishing out 12 assists. White, the reigning Eastern Conference Player of the Week, added 26 points.

The Bulls (29-39) currently sit ninth in the Eastern Conference standings, tied with the Miami Heat, vying for a playoff berth.

Utah’s lone Duke player, rookie Kyle Filipowski, contributed eight points and five rebounds in the loss. Despite the Jazz’s (15-54) league-worst record, Filipowski continues to show promise, averaging 8.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.0 assists.
