**VISAKHAPATNAM, March 20, 2025** – Arjilli Dasu of Visakhapatnam has been appointed the general secretary of the Federation of Indian Fisher Organisations (FIFO), the organization announced Wednesday. The appointment was made at a general body meeting in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. Fifteen representatives from nine coastal states and four union territories were also appointed to the FIFO leadership.
The FIFO plays a key role in promoting and developing India’s fishing industry globally, engaging with international organizations such as the World Trade Organization (WTO), Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
