FRESNO, Calif. — Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) announced that millions of its customers will receive a state-funded climate credit on their April energy bills. Residential customers with an active electric account will receive a $58.23 credit, while those with an active gas account will get $67.03. Customers receiving both gas and electric service from PG&E will receive a combined credit of $125.26. Small businesses are also eligible for the credit. The credits are funded by California’s Cap and Trade Program. No action is required by customers to receive the credit; it will be automatically applied to April bills.
