Tue Mar 18 15:54:59 UTC 2025: ## Yadagirigutta Temple to Get Dedicated Trust Board
**Hyderabad, March 18, 2025** – The Yadagirigutta temple in Telangana will soon be managed by a dedicated trust board, mirroring the model of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. The Telangana Assembly passed the Telangana Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments (Amendment) Bill, 2025, on Tuesday, paving the way for the establishment of such boards for temples generating over ₹100 crore annually.
The Yadagirigutta temple, with an annual income of ₹224 crore, and the Vemulawada temple (₹187 crore) are the first to benefit from this legislation. Other high-income temples, including Basar, Bhadrachalam, Komuravelli, and Kondagattu, will also be considered. The Yadagirigutta trust board will comprise 18 members, representing diverse groups including MLAs/MLCs, SCs, BCs, women, and hereditary trustees.
Endowments Minister K. Surekha attributed the increased temple income to the state government’s free bus travel facility for women, which has boosted pilgrim numbers. She highlighted improvements made to temple facilities over the past year and announced plans for further enhancements. The Bill was passed following a debate involving several assembly members. The minister and Congress member K. Rajagopal Reddy praised former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for the temple’s reconstruction and development.
