Tue Mar 18 20:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Rams Bolster Defense, Add Veteran Linebacker Landman
**Los Angeles, CA** – The Los Angeles Rams have significantly bolstered their defense, adding veteran inside linebacker Nate Landman to their roster on a one-year deal. Landman, 26, joins the Rams after three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, where he established himself as a reliable starter. In 36 games (23 starts), he amassed 192 total tackles, three sacks, six forced fumbles, four passes defensed, and one interception. His most productive season came in 2023, with 110 tackles, two sacks, three forced fumbles, and three passes defensed in 16 games (14 starts). Landman, originally an undrafted free agent out of Colorado, entered free agency after the Falcons declined to tender him a restricted free agent contract.
This signing follows a busy free agency period for the Rams, who have also added defensive lineman Poona Ford (three-year deal), wide receiver Davante Adams (two-year deal), and running back Ronnie Rivers (fourth season with the team). The team also signed defensive tackle Larrell Murchison to a one-year deal and welcomed back offensive lineman Coleman Shelton. The Rams’ offseason moves suggest a focus on strengthening their roster across multiple positions. The team’s draft strategy, in light of these free agency acquisitions, remains to be seen.
