**Bengaluru, March 18, 2025** – Former Minister H.M. Revanna is facing allegations of assaulting a Congress party worker and using casteist slurs. The incident allegedly occurred on Monday at the Kumara Krupa Guest House following a minor dispute.
Nandini Nagaraj, the complainant, reported the incident to the High Grounds police, who have filed a non-cognizable report. Ms. Nagaraj claims Mr. Revanna verbally abused and physically assaulted her. She provided police with a video purportedly showing Mr. Revanna pushing her mobile phone while it was recording.
The police have requested further evidence from Ms. Nagaraj. Separately, she has filed a complaint with the Karnataka State Commission for Women, whose chairperson, Nagalakshmi Choudhary, has instructed the police to investigate and submit a report. The investigation is ongoing.
