VIJAYAWADA, March 18, 2025 – The Andhra Pradesh Secondary School Certificate (SSC) board examinations commenced on Monday, March 17, with a remarkable 98.27% attendance rate. A total of 6,16,451 students appeared for the First Language exam out of 6,27,277 registered candidates, according to School Education Director Vijay Rama Raju. The exams are being held across 3,450 centers.

While the majority of students participated smoothly, the director’s press release noted that two students were caught cheating during an inspection in Kurnool district and subsequently barred from further examinations. A total of 1,545 examination centers were inspected by flying squads on the first day. The high attendance reflects a positive start to the crucial SSC exams.
