**Hyderabad, March 18, 2025** – South Central Railway (SCR) announced that passengers will receive full refunds for train tickets cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as accidents, floods, or protests. The refund policy applies only if tickets are surrendered within three days of the train’s scheduled departure.
Passengers who purchased tickets through the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters must surrender their tickets at any PRS counter to receive a full refund. For online bookings via IRCTC, tickets will be automatically cancelled, and refunds will be credited to the linked bank account.
SCR also urged passengers to provide accurate mobile numbers during booking to receive timely updates regarding any schedule changes.
