**Chennai, March 18, 2025** – A meeting of Chief Ministers and political leaders from seven states will be held in Chennai on March 22nd to discuss concerns over the upcoming delimitation exercise, according to DMK MLA N. Ezhian. The meeting, convened by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, will take place at the ITC Chola Hotel.
The aim is to strategize ways to prevent states from losing Lok Sabha seats due to the redrawing of electoral boundaries. Mr. Ezhian stated that Chief Ministers and representatives from Kerala, Telangana, Punjab, Karnataka, West Bengal, and Odisha have confirmed their participation. He highlighted the DMK’s efforts, including letters sent by Mr. Stalin and visits by senior DMK ministers and MPs to invite attendees. The DMK MLA expressed frustration with the BJP government’s lack of response to the issue in Parliament, emphasizing the importance of adequate parliamentary representation to protect state rights, social justice, and the two-language policy.
